1. The Chair of economic analysis and audit is a structural
subdivision of
Voronezh State University.
2. The following organizations function on the basis of the
Chair:
- dissertation council on the “Accounting, statistics” speciality;
- RF Ministry of Finance Training methodical center ¹ 12 for certification
and improvement of auditors professional qualifications;
- Training methodical center for certification and improvement
of
accountants in charge, financial managers and managers for expenses
control professional qualifications;
- “Chinese Project ” training center organizing probation in
Russia for
experts and specialists of the People’s Republic of China ministries
and
departments.
3. The Chair is a coordinator of scientific research (main chair)
on the “Theory, methodology and technique of accounting, financial-investment
control and analysis
of economic entities activities” subject in the Black Soil Region of
Russia.
4. The Chair trains bachelors and masters for the “Economics” lead
(“Accounting, analysis and audit” program), certified specialists
and experts for the
“Accounting, analysis and audit” speciality, postgraduate students
for the “Accounting,
statistics” speciality.
5. Research workers of the Chair participate in the activities
of Methodological council on the accounting and reporting of
RF Ministry of Finance.
6. The Chair has partnership relations with some big factory enterprises
of the region (OJSC “Novolipetsk Iron-and Steel Works”, OJSC “
Lebedinsky Integrated
Mining-and-Concentration Works”) and chairs of some foreign Universities
in Ireland (The National University of Ireland, Galway), Spain
(Granada University), the USA (Charlotte University, North Carolina;
Kansas
University), Germany
(The University named after Martin Luther, Halle), etc.
7. The staff of the Chair includes 2 Doctors of economic sciences
(Professors) and 9 Candidates of economic sciences (Assistance
Professors).
1. In the field of personnel training the possibilities of the Chair
are:
- training of the students in the field of accounting,
financial and investment
analysis, audit and financial management;
- testing of the Chair graduating students on orders of commercial
organizations, banks and offices ( if there are job vacancies);
- acquisition of information on graduating students (resume) and selection
of
students on orders of organizations and offices;
- development of special courses of studies, performing seminars and round-table
discussions on vital problems concerning accounting, economic analysis, audit
and financial management;
- graduating qualification work supervision;
- attachment of post-graduates to the Chair to take candidate minimum
examinations and write a dissertation;
- enrolment in the post-graduate course on the speciality 08.00.12 – “Accounting,
statistics”;
- scientific supervision and consulting of post-graduates about writing candidate
and doctor’s dissertations;
- organization of grant competitions of commercial organizations for students
studying at the Chair;
- training, certification and improvement of auditors professional qualifications
on the basis of the RF Ministry of Finance Training methodical center ¹ 12;
- training, certification and improvement of accountants in charge, financial
managers for expenses control professional qualifications on the basis of
the
training methodical center of the Institute of professional accountants of
Russia under VSU;
- opponency and reviewing of dissertations for speciality 08.00.12 – “Accounting,
statistics” (according to the resolution of a corresponding dissertation
council).
2. In the field of scientific-research activity the possibility
of the Chair are:
- investigation of vital problems of accounting, investment analysis,
intraeconomic and extraeconomic financial analysis, control and
audit of
financial-economic activity both initiatively and on orders of
commercial
organizations and executive authorities;
- application development (techniques, instructions, programs,
etc.) in the field of financial management, accounting, audit,
investment analysis;
- performance of joint research with teams of other institutions of higher
education and organizations;
- joint participation in international grants and scientific programs;
- development of methodical recommendations for introduction of international
standards of financial reporting in practical activity of a particular enterprise;
- performing of international and all-Russian scientific-practical conferences;
- joint publication of monographies, textbooks and training aids in the central
press (Moscow and St. Petersburg publishing houses);
- joint publication of scientific articles in central and abstract journals
of the Highest Certification Committee .
3. In the field of consulting activity the possibilities of the
Chair are:
- validation of financial reporting data of an entity;
- development of intrafirm standards of audit;
- development of accounting policy and formulation of explanatory note for
financial reporting of an entity;
- minimization of taxation for commercial organizations;
- optimization of financial mechanism of an entity activity;
- analysis of financial reporting, evaluation of borrower solvency;
- analysis of production activity;
- evaluation of economic potential of an entity;
- complex evaluation of the activity of enterprise structural subdivisions
and participants of a group of interconnected companies (holding-company);
- investment and innovation analysis;
- expertise of innovation projects;
- consulting on merging and absorbing issues;
- diagnostic analysis of bankruptcy of a commercial organization;
- consulting on issues of organization, accounting and analysis of leasing
operations;
- development and expertise of business-plans, feasibility studies and other
forecasting financial documentation;
- evaluation of validation and expediency of made administrative decisions;
- evaluation of meeting the requirements of Russian and international standards
of accounting;
- evaluation of the qualification level and correspondence to the professional
skill of accounting-financial employees of an organization;
- organization of business seminars, round-tables and conferences on vital
problems concerning accounting, audit and financial management;
- monitoring of the state of regional market of audit-consulting services and
evaluation of its development tendencies.
4. Other activities of the Chair:
- participation in the development of national standards of accounting
and audit with Methodological Council for accounting and Council
for audit activities of the RF Ministry of Finance;
- participation in the development of normative documents and methodical recommendations
for accounting, financial-investment analysis and audit with The Institute
of professional accountants of Russia (a member of IFAC);
- participation in the development of state educational standards with The
Training methodical association of institutions of higher education in the
field of finance, accounting and world economy (Financial Academy under the
RF Government).
